DJ Techniques.

Ever fancied yourself behind the decks? This week long course will cover all the essentials of DJing, from equipment set-up, to mixing and creative techniques.

Overview

Our week long DJ Techniques summer school is perfect for complete beginners with little to no experience of DJing. Taught by pro DJ, Chengy, you’ll learn the essentials of DJing, developing your techniques and building your confidence behind the decks.

Each day you’ll get hands-on experience in our DJ booths, building your knowledge of DJ equipment and its essential components. You’ll get to grips with professional hardware, learning the basic set-up procedures for turntables, mixers and headphones.

Once set-up is complete you’ll gain fundamental knowledge of beatmatching to synchronize tracks smoothly, and develop basic DJ skills in cueing and crossfading for seamless transitions between songs. All while familiarising yourself with basic music structure, tempo and beat counting.
