New Summer School’s for 2024.

This year we’re introducing five new short courses this summer, a perfect introduction into the different facets we specialise in at Spirit. All courses run for five days, Monday to Friday, 10am – 3pm, and are open to everyone aged 15 and above. You’ll get experience working in our state-of-the-art facilities, learning from passionate experts with years of industry experience.

Electronic Music Production

Taught in Ableton, this five day course will introduce you to the fundamentals of producing nearly any genre of music. From sound design to mixing and using hardware, you’ll develop a range of creative skills to help you build tracks and establish your sound. Find out more.

Sound for Live Events

Delve into the world of live sound engineering, and discover what happens behind the scenes at your favourite music venues. From using mixing consoles to sound checking live performances, you’ll learn the basics of becoming a live sound engineer. Find out more.

Studio Recording and Production

Discover the inner workings of the recording studio, get hands-on learning how to use professional mixing desks and record a variety of instruments and vocals using professional micing techniques. Find out more.

DJ Techniques

Learn the essentials of DJing on CDJs and vinyl. From beat matching and mixing to creative techniques like scratching and looping. Our tutor with 25+ years of experience will build your confidence behind the decks. Find out more.

Introduction to the Music Industry

Perfect for artists, musicians and producers who are already creating their own tracks but want to build up their knowledge of releasing music, artist management and the essentials of the industry. Find out more.

Sample into Sound

Finally our ‘Sample into Sound’ summer school will also be returning for the third year running. This week long course is perfect for those wanting who want to find out more about a variety of subject areas within the industry. With a blend of music production, live sound engineering and music business you can explore the range of roles within music.
