Brandon is a music producer with many talents such as DJing, graphic design and occasional filmmaking.

What were you doing before you came to Spirit Studios?

I was producing music and working in design, print and web.

How did you get into Music Production?

I started making music at an early age and discovered music production in high school. I haven’t stopped since.

Any special areas of interest?

Generative music, hardware music production, modular synthesis, sample instrument development amongst many others.

What’s your proudest career achievement?

I’d say becoming a teacher.

What do you get up to outside of teaching?

Producing music, DJing, graphic design, occasional film making, record collecting, and buying strange synths and effects.

There are many! It’d have to be a current top 5… Jon Hassell – The Surgeon of the Night Sky, The Residents – Commercial Album, Fourth World Magazine – Pinhead in Fantasia, Boards of Canada – Old Tunes Vol. 1 and 2, K. Leimer – Land of Look Behind.

What’s your musical guilty pleasure?

Relaxation/ New age cassettes.

I was born in the most northern hospital in the UK.
