Our Project Studio will give you a greater understanding of signal flow, giving you the knowledge and confidence to workaround technical issues that can arise when running a studio session.
We want you to be able to create a mental picture of the signal path surrounding any issue or fault you encounter, and quickly identify possible resolutions or workarounds to keep your session running.
You’re free to open up the outboard rack and console furniture, unplug all of the cables and then put the studio back together again. Once you’ve wired up the studio, you can then perform a line check to ensure all connections have been made correctly and all equipment is working. See if you can then solve any issues that have been picked up by the line check. Skills that you’ve picked up in our regular soldering workshops may help you here.
The acoustic treatment is also customisable. You can position absorbers, diffusers and bass traps however you like in the Project Studio. Then, analyse the room and make any adjustments to resolve any issues. This will allow you to see the impact of acoustic treatment on an untreated room, and how the position and quantity of acoustic treatment will affect a room’s performance. Experience in the Project Studio will help you treat your own spaces.
