Based around the uncompromising Xone:92 analogue DJ mixer: experience tracks as they were meant to heard in our Allen & Heath Booth.
Many top DJs have opted for the Xone series mixers for their high quality audio signal path and legendary filters. Our Allen & Heath DJ booth is a hit with our students too.
Connected to the Xone:92 are four Pioneer CDJs and two Technics turntables, providing an incredibly versatile space for our students to learn equipment and practice core DJ skills.
We also utilise the latest Digital Vinyl Systems (DVS). With Traktor and Serato, you can control and play tracks stored on your computer via the vinyl turntables. Many DJs have adopted DVS as a means to continue using turntables but not have to carry bags of records around. DVS also provides access to the latest digital tracks that aren’t printed to vinyl. We go one step further here with Phase: full DVS control via a turntable without needing cartridges. Gone are the days of a needle jump ruining your mix.
As the Allen & Heath mixer is analogue, and therefore light on built-in effects, we’ve installed a Pioneer RMX-500 effects unit for all of your echo, crush and cowbell needs.
A Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro switcher and two GoPro cameras have been permanently installed to facilitate audio and video recordings of your sets. Simply insert a USB stick into the ATEM and press record.
Finally, Ableton Live Suite is available on the Macbook Pro for playback of any audio and the recording of audio-only sets.
