By the end of this free taster course, you will have a piece of music in your chosen genre and have unlocked core skills for starting your journey as an electronic music producer.
Overview
This session is ideal for emerging musicians, producers or anyone aged 14-18 that is interested in developing their creative techniques and music production skills. You’ll learn from experts, getting hands-on with an industry-standard digital audio workstation (DAW).
You’ll cover core functions of Ableton Live and work with content from a variety of electronic music genres to arrange a piece of music, program rhythmic elements using Midi programming and develop basic mixing and processing techniques. The session will cover:
- Introduction to electronic music
- Introduction to Ableton Live
- Working with loops
- Programming drums with MIDI
- Introduction to mixdown
- Exporting Audio and archiving
