On Friday 3rd March, Wigwam Acoustics – one of the world’s leading sound companies – came into our studios to speak to our students about job opportunities in the industry, as part of Creative Spirit.
Ex-student, Jack Langfeld, who has been on tour with The Prodigy, and Dickie Newall, came in to speak to our students about the types of jobs and opportunities available at Wigwam. It was also a great opportunity for our students to ask questions and network with some of the leading industry experts.
Providing PA for some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Coldplay and The Prodigy, as well as building and installing sound systems for large-scale tours and festivals, Wigwam are at the forefront of the live sound industry.
As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our links with the industry, many of our current students have already gained valuable work placements at Wigwam. In addition to this, Studio & Live Music Production student, Tom Ashby has recently landed himself a permanent position at Wigwam.
Reflecting on the event, Stuart Avery said:
“It was a great event and I’m thrilled to see the creative partnership between Wigwam and Spirit Studios blossoming, and creating real job opportunities for our students.
In addition, It was a fantastic opportunity for Wigwam to check out our students with a view to potential employment, and as a result, several students have been in contact with Wigwam to enquire about work experience opportunities.”
