With its enviable technical credentials, our 100 capacity live venue is more than just a teaching space.
Designed in partnership with Wigwam Acoustics as a tribute to one of the industry’s most talented live sound engineers, you have the opportunity to get hands-on with almost all of the gear you would find out in the industry.
Fitted with Soundcraft Vi1, Allen & Heath SQ-6 and GL2800, Avid VENUE D-Show, Midas Verona, Midas M32 and Behringer X32 consoles, you will test your skills here using both analogue and digital systems you are likely to encounter at a gig. And with a D&B Q-Series point source and T-Series line array PA options, a Martin Audio monitor system, dedicated backline, and digital audio routing systems from Yamaha and Allen & Heath, this is the perfect environment for honing your skills, recording bands live and putting on events.
Over the years we have had a huge number of respected bands and artists using our venue space for both rehearsal and live recording. Within the last year alone, we have welcomed Cabbage, Gabe Gurnsey, Pijn, and ShadowParty into our studios, allowing our students to gain practical experience working with bands and making contacts while they study.
You will have access to this studio if you are studying on the following courses:
- FdSc/ BSc (Hons) Sound Engineering & Design
- BSc (Hons) Studio & Live Music Production
- Live sound Engineering
